What to expect
Flexible multiroom home audio
Bose has built the Lifestyle Collection to work in a variety of homes and rooms. One Lifestyle Ultra Speaker suits a study, bedroom or kitchen. Two speakers can be paired for stereo sound with greater separation.
The Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar works as a standalone home cinema solution. If you want to expand the system you can add the subwoofer and two more speakers for a 7.1.4 setup. The range is designed to be scaled up or down as needed.
Audio engineering in each product
The Lifestyle Ultra Speaker uses three drivers, two forward‑firing and one upward‑firing. Bose Direct/Reflecting technology helps to disperse sound toward walls and ceilings for a broader soundstage. TrueSpatial places sound more naturally in the room, and CleanBass provides deeper bass from a compact form.
The Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar features a new acoustic design with six full‑range drivers, a centre tweeter and two PhaseGuide drivers. It is built for Dolby Atmos and can reproduce three‑dimensional sound with height and clear separation. SpeechClarity emphasises dialogue, while CustomTune adapts the sound to the room’s shape and furnishings.
Subwoofer and connections
The Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer complements the soundbar and speakers with wireless bass. CleanBass and QuietPort work together to deliver deep, controlled bass even at high volumes. This allows the rest of the system to focus more on midrange and treble.
The range connects via Wi‑Fi and supports Google Cast, Apple AirPlay, Spotify Connect and Bluetooth. This makes it easy to play music directly from the services and apps you already use. For multiroom use, speakers can be grouped in the home, including some models from other manufacturers.
Design and installation
The products share a cohesive design with soft forms and fabric‑covered grilles. The Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar and Subwoofer also feature a glass detail in the frame. The range is available in Black and White Smoke, and the speaker is also offered in Driftwood Sand as a limited edition.
The Bose app guides you through installation and gathers required permissions and accounts in one place. Once the system is ready you can adjust volume, source, EQ, surround and height. Basic functions are also available on the buttons on top of the speaker and soundbar, via voice control with built‑in Alexa or with a compatible TV remote.
