What you can expect
Hygiene and filtration
The Miele Guard M1 uses ComfortFit and is designed for a high standard of hygiene. The AirClean filter captures 99.99% of dust particles, making it suitable if you want a clear filtration system in a conventional bagged vacuum cleaner.
The vacuum uses HyClean Pure CO dust bags with a volume of 4.5 litres. It also features automatic dust bag placement and an indicator for when the bag needs replacing.
The motor filter and exhaust filter work together to keep the air cleaner while you vacuum. This makes the model easy to understand and use in daily life.
Power and usage
The Guard M1 has four power settings and electronic suction control via the Mode button. This makes it easy to adjust suction for different surfaces and tasks without complicated settings.
The motor is a PowerLine variant with a power of 890 watts. The noise level is 77 dB, which is a typical level for a traditional bagged vacuum cleaner.
The ergonomic handle and the medium-sized telescopic tube help make the vacuum easy to handle. It also has a parking position for short pauses during cleaning.
Reach and storage
With a 7.5 metre cable and an 11 metre operating radius you get good reach between wall sockets. This reduces the need to change sockets when cleaning larger rooms or longer areas.
The comfort cable rewind reels in the cord with a quick foot press. This makes storage easier when you are finished.
The vacuum also has a practical compartment for the three-piece accessory set. The upholstery nozzle, crevice nozzle and brush are stored together inside the machine.
Design and build quality
The Guard M1 features a design concept with illuminated LED icons and a clear interface. This makes it easier to see and choose the correct setting.
Wheels with steel axles are intended to protect floors, and the model has three wheels for stable movement. Dimensions are 496 mm wide, 227 mm high and 284 mm deep. The weight is 6.7 kg.
