What you can expect
The Thule Widesky is designed for those who want a roof tent for more than sleeping. The front section offers extra headroom so you can sit more upright. This makes the interior more usable during the day, for example when reading, waiting out rain or simply sitting and looking out.
The mattress can be converted into a backrest. Combined with the open layout this creates a sofa-like space inside the tent. Panorama doors and mesh panels let in light, views and air. When it gets dark the dimmable LED lighting helps make the space usable.
Quick setup and easy packing
The tent opens by releasing the buckles and folding the shell up. The gas-assisted opening helps get the tent up quickly. When it's time to pack away, use the straps to close it again.
The construction features an aluminium shell and a honeycomb base that provide strength and weather protection. The outer fabric is made from recycled material and is designed to withstand changing conditions. The solution is developed to impose low strain in daily use.
Fits many cars
The Thule Widesky weighs under 68 kg and is 20 cm high when closed. This makes it easier to mount on many roof racks and therefore suitable for a wider range of vehicles, including standard cars.
When the tent is open the height is 124 cm, excluding the mattress. The compact shape helps keep the vehicle more streamlined compared with many other aluminium hardshell roof tents.
Comfort and interior details
Inside there is a padded foam mattress and an insulated felt roof that contribute to a quieter, homelier feel. Four inner pockets provide space for small items you want close at hand.
The ladder can be mounted on either side of the tent, making it easier to adapt the setup to where you park. The tent is stored in a multifunctional bag that can also be used as hanging storage while camping.
