Sony 1000X THE COLLEXION is built as a premium pair of headphones with a focus on materials, feel and long-term use. Metal in the headband, soft artificial leather and clean details give it a more polished appearance. The model is available in white and black.
The headphones are shaped to sit comfortably for extended periods. Large ear cups, a wider padded headband and soft materials help distribute pressure evenly. The ergonomic fit keeps them stable without feeling heavy in everyday use.
The sound is developed for a wide and spacious feel with clear separation between instruments and vocals. The custom-tuned drive unit and rigid dome help deliver more detail in the higher frequencies and a more open soundstage.
DSEE Ultimate works in real time to enhance compressed music files and restore detail that would otherwise be lost. This means music can sound fuller and more nuanced, especially when listening to files or streamed content of lower quality.
The headphones use Sony's well-known noise cancellation with 12 microphones and an automatic optimiser that adjusts to the surroundings. You also get ambient sound and quick attention modes, making it easier to switch between isolation and awareness of your surroundings.
"360 Upmix" is available in three modes and can give stereo music, films and games a more immersive soundstage. With the listening mode button, you can switch between the options and get a more spatial impression depending on what you are listening to.
The battery lasts up to 24 hours with noise cancellation on and up to 32 hours without it. The headphones charge via USB and support convenient multipoint connection, so you can switch between two devices without hassle.
