Nice light and open sound with pressure and drive in the bottom. Nice looking, good quality on controls and buttons. Good DAC but I think the DAC in Squeezebox Touch sounds more comfortable. Does not get very hot. Sounds best with Pure Direct. The Loudness function works fine at low volumes and strangely enough, music that has been missing in the mastering process also sounds better with loudness. Probably due to the fact that instead of boosting bass \ treble, the loudness lowers the middle register. So instead of listening after 10 seconds (newer pop \ rock), you'll get almost the entire Spotify Top 100. ;-) Update. After using the built-in DAC for a few weeks, I think it sounds better o better. A little more dynamic and bright.

When my old NAD216 burned took this on as a HTPC amplifier. Performs quite well for a sensible money. Plenty of power for normal use. Sound quality is high, I think. With "Pure Direct" send sound directly unchanged past the treble, bass and loudnesskontrollerna. Big plus for internal DA converters with optical input for eg computer. Runs very cool, the chassis becomes slightly warm during operation. Good remote. Recommended!
