Ratchet and Clank are back! This super-duo gets to take part in another exciting adventure and this time it brings them to different dimensions.
Dr. Nefarious from the previous games is back, this time he’s an evil emperor from another reality. It's up to you, Ratchet and Clank to stop him.
To help you, you have new crazy weapons, the resistance fighter Rivet, and a whole host of new techniques that will take you through an interdimensional adventure.
Three of the new weapons you can now get hold of are the Burst Pistol, Topiary Sprinkler and Shatterbomb. And the resistance fighter Rivet is a Lombax, just like Ratchet!

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is only available for Playstation 5
If you want to help Ratchet and Clank to stand up to Emperor Nefarious, the biggest obstacle is that the game is only available for Playstation 5.
The game is fully optimised for Sony's latest game console with better graphics than all the previous games in the series, and super-fast loading times.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart supports both adaptive triggers and haptic feedback with the DualSense controller. This means you’ll get physical feedback when something explodes or you shoot with one of the game's weapons.
The game also supports 3D sound so when you play wearing headphones, you get an immersive experience with a 360-degree sound image.
But as mentioned earlier, the game will be released at least initially only on Playstation 5. If you have a Playstation 4, Playstation 4 Pro or Playstation Now on a PC, you cannot run Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
Extra items with the Digital Deluxe Edition
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is available in two different versions. The standard version that only contains the game, and the Digital Deluxe Edition which is a more expensive special version with extra digital items.
The Digital Deluxe Edition contains, in addition to the main game, five extra suits of armour and 20 raritanium that are used to upgrade items in the game. It also includes downloadable music for the game, a digital illustration book and a decal package for the game's photo mode.
Did you pre-book Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart? Then you’d also have received two extra items completely free of charge regardless of which version you ordered, namely the the Pixelizer weapon and the Carbonox armour.
Ratchet & Clank for Playstation 4
If you have a Playstation 4 or Playstation 4 Pro at home, try Ratchet & Clank instead. The game was released in 2016 and is a re-worked version of the original game from 2002. Here you get to know the Lombax Ratchet for the first time and experience the story of how he became best friends with the robot Clank. The game is child-friendly, and also works on Playstation 5.
