A fantastic fun board game if you are a brain-dead ass and do not know that there are lots of better and more fun board games out there. Seriously: this is slow and boring, and the more you are, the tougher it gets, and quite often you can soon see who barely have a chance to win, and then it will be even tougher, and even sadder, as if it were not enough already.

Better board does not exist. Have played it 12 times on the weekend and will not get tired of it.

Settlers can be recommended as an introduction to some more advanced board games. The problem with Settlers, I think; is that too early notice who or what has the chance to win a game, strong players are quickly becoming even stronger. And who thinks it's fun to continue when halfway through know you're not going to win? At this level; bet on Ticket to Ride instead, excitement into the last move!

Really nice game, but remember that luck is a relatively large factor (dice roll).

Settlers is a balanced board game that combines territorial expansion, blocking and trading of short-term pacts and betrayals. I've played it about 20 times and have not found a better board game.
