Bought this on Black-Friday 2017. Initially was concerned that there was not a manual, only a quick-guide on how to assemble and connect it to the mains; I had expected a comprehensive manual as with the Samsung it replaced. However, eventually I set-up the picture in the Custom mode and had to turn down both red and blue which were unnatural and very intense. I explored U-Tube for settings and used these as a guide to getting the quality of image I required with inputs to the TV from two Humax recorders. Netflix input from the internet provided a perfect picture with either HD or 4K source material straight out of the box and so I guess that my Humax PVRs had modified the colour balance. Finally, perfect picture from all sources. Excellent black, very good greyscale and superb brightness. No compressed blacks, no blooming or ghosting.
Sound quality is a lot better than from the Samsung and is much more suited to my hearing aids.
Niggles: It is slow to boot-up and does not respond to the zapper for several seconds after the picture appears; - but I can live with that.
The Handset is not intuitive, it has taken some time to get used to its functions.
The selection of apps includes the essential ones and some that I will never use and would like to delete - if I could find a way to do that. It's probably fixed by Sony into their version of Android and I will have to live with that.
Overall it has the very best picture that I have seen, good sound experience and its build
quality is excellent. Not perfect but very near. I would recommend it based on my few months enjoyment
