The GX8 and GX9 are both excellent choices in the DSLR camera category, but they offer distinct features that may suit different needs. The GX8, though slightly older with a 2015 release date, provides better weather sealing, making it more suitable for outdoor photography in tougher conditions. Meanwhile, the GX9 benefits from improvements in design, such as a reduced weight and a greater viewfinder magnification, enhancing portability and ease of use. The GX9 also includes a built-in HDR function, which might appeal to users who frequently work with high dynamic range images. Both models support a 20.3 MP sensor and 4K video recording, ensuring high-quality results across various shooting scenarios.
