Finally, Husqvarna has released new models that make you fill up the void that existed before the current sizes of lawns. The previous models 308 and 320 only gave buyers the opportunity to go from 800 sqm to 2200 sqm. If you had a lawn in between had to choose 220, an old model with the old technology and the older type of battery that meant high weight and short working hours. But now, one has released two new models, the 310 and 315, which provides you with between large lawns opportunity to buy a really cruel robot! 310 allows you to cut 1,000 sqm and 315 1500kvm.
In fact, 310 and 315 of the robot, the same battery has the same case, the difference lies in programming. One can thus say that the 310 runs with slightly reduced speed. This can give 310an benefits in the long run, the same battery but it is not forced to use it as hard as the 315 does. My hope is that you do not need to replace the battery in 310an as often as 315.
Before the purchase: Measure the lawn, if you have ex 1000 sqm, you should really go for 315 model. Otherwise, your poor 310a need to be out around the clock seven days a week to cope with the capacity of 1000 square meters. This means that it wears very quickly and need little maintenance, and probably it will be in your way when you are out enjoying your beautiful lawn. In my case, I have about 400 sq m, rather complicated mat with cliffs and a narrow aisle (about 70-80cm wide). Why did not I 305an and 308an? That said, 305an would have to be outside around the clock and neither 308an and 305an handle particularly large drop-offs. In other words, 310an are significantly oversized for my carpet but it means that it can be out only at night 3-5 days a week, which means that it never bothers me, giving me less maintenance and will last longer! In the long run I win this!
Installation: 310an gives you two packages of staples and 150 meters boundary wire. This is extremely efficient, and certainly not enough for a carpet that is 1000 sqm unless it is square and not a single item that needs to be framed. To my land, I needed to buy a package staples and 50 meters of cable. That is for my 400kvm plot went to the 200 meter cable which is not so strange, I have framed a sandbox, a large rock, a bush and two trees. If the trees stand near the edge of your carpet so you can access many meters to frame them and want to do a proper job, you need to frame the trees, stones etc. Otherwise, your robot get plenty of scratches in a short time, which means that the wear and increases the service life shrinks. The installation is quick, especially if you are two persons, then lay out the cable quickly and easily. Remember to staple down the cable all the way right away when you put it down. Add a good margin at the start so you can readjust if something is good! Then it's just to plug in the robot and start it. The installation wizard you get to give a quick guide to how to do, which is good but if you do not have a typical lawn, but I extremely narrow aisle so you need to change some basic settings, such as how long the machine running after it hits the boundary wire . In case you need to change the main settings so you should not follow the quick guide as it will give the wrong measure of how you will place the boundary wire. My advice is that you read the entire manual carefully before you start so you will not realize that you need to do if something afterwards! There are lots of settings so think carefully before you start!
Safety: Note that the robot does not have the highest level of security set when you buy it. That means that if something stops the machine, they pick it up and steal the robot without making a sound. You have to actively go out and raise safety to activate so that the PIN code must be pressed immediately after a press stop.
Editor: The cut is almost identical to its predecessor, the same type of disk that rotates and the same pattern of movement of the robot. This system has been used for many years now and it works well so this need not be changed. The robot walk around and do a really good job!
But if you compare it with the robot as a robotdamsugare you realize soon that robotic lawnmower is not particularly smart in comparison. Once it encounters a problem, it seems to be no system which takes over to find a solution. Ex then 310an end up in a narrow aisle and encounters an obstacle, it can spin around and try to do the same maneuver a large number of times without success to escape. If I compare with my robot vacuum cleaner (Roomba 780) it does not do the same mistakes again and again, but instead see that it is trying to solve with different scenarios that are pre-programmed, for example, try new angles until it finds an angle that solves the problem. 310an can not understand it at a wall unless the boundary wire is there. A robot vacuum cleaner can as easily follow a wall to make it through. A little odd that Husqvarna robots in 2015 can not solve this, for example, drive around an obstacle, following its edge mm, when our vacuum cleaning robots can handle the problem splendidly and also costs a third. Conclusion: You finally get one of the better mowers that are more adapted for sizes of the more normal type. This at a price that is quite ok compared to what a 320 or 330 cost! Mowing becomes perfect, moss disappears, the grass gets greener and feel better, and this is of course the most important thing with the machine! However, you must do solid preparatory work with the loop wire, planning mm. Although there are new models that are basically nothing special about them, you get the same type of machine that Husqvarna other models but with a new skin and appearance. And sure, you can change the skin on this machine a little easier than others but it may not be so great wowfaktor. Personally think that 2015 should for a machine in this price range included some modern details. Why not let it be connected to WiFi? The charging station is anyway at huskanten where most have their WiFi coverage. Anyway, it works anyway by itself and you do not have to care more about it than when it is time to clean it, which is not very often ... Good buy and probably one of the best robotic mowers on the market! The price has not been settled yet and can vary greatly, I bought mine 13800kr while most still sell it for 16900kr!
*** Update: lawnmower has done a fantastic job the first year. However, it began to sound a bit more from one wheel motor, so I left it now and then got out that there is a manufacturing defect in the early models. So it has been an early model then just leave it to the nearest place, simply replace both motors even if they still work.
