Works fine in Win7 32bit.
Use it only for scanning receipts.
The software that comes with permits to press a button on the scanner, then scan it in and put a file in a folder.
However, you want it even open the file with something. And you have to refer to a. Exe file. If you do not, so open Canon's own preview program. I had to create one. Exe dummyfil in VB that only does end in itself. That way I can put a receipt, press the PDF button on the scanner, and presto, it goes a PDF file in the selected folder and no keystrokes on your computer needs to be done. Quick and easy!
It is also small, light and stylish. Easy to tuck away when not in use. Runs on standard USB, so you can use the same cable to the camera, disks, etc. ...
