Do not know which måndagsex plot received during my time delivers sharp images with no problems.
Perceive that I get very good color rendition of this lens.
Along with the D300s so it will be a good balance between the camera and lens.
The only reason I would switch off this is if it came with a VR or if I took the step to FX.
Annoyed me a little that there was barrel movement on it.
Of the zoom lenses I've tested so there is little that beats it. (FX, I avoid when I need speed and do not want to add 30-50 'on a house)
Rely more on Ken Rockwell and others (http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/1755.htm)
Extremely overrated lens that is both heavy and sharp. Price versus sharpness is ridiculously bad! (See for yourself at dxomark.com) Facts speak for themselves. Still flailing some stubborn that this is so good. "Cheated"
Cruel loophole that is very very sharp with good weight, however, can be a little nose heavy with the smaller cameras without battery grip, ex D90/D7000.
Is highly recommended for those looking for a really sharp, bright and solidly built DX lens!
Are two negative and the price tag and lack of VR.
Amazingly, amazingly sharp optics on all brännvider and aperture. A little vignetting at 17mm but to be zoom loophole can definitely not complain about the little that is.
As another wrote, it can be used as an emergency hammer if needed, are incredibly heavy and solid built.
Had Nikkor 16-85 before and it is not possible to compare the quality but then it's a big price difference too.
+ Impeccable image quality
+ Built to be used as a hammer in case of emergency
+ Focuses fantastically fast, and right
- Not VR
= Cruel, cruel, cruel ...
I can live without stabilization, with the current SLR, you can actually pull up the ISO speed rejääält high before the picture quality is so / too bad for the image not be able to use.
