Have now had this camera for a while and are very satisfied. I have small hands get a good grip on it. Like the rotary touch display. Provides good clear images and are not too difficult to understand. It is not so great either, so it is easy to take along. Have so far only the kit lens, but looks forward to buy a better lens later.

After using this camera for a long time, I can say that it takes great nice pictures. It was then bundled with Nikon 18-140mm kit lens, which is recommended * strongly * as it has significantly better anti-skakmöjligheter compared with Nikon kit lens on 18-55 and 18-105.

The biggest reason that I go in and write is to frodewe's review gives a very distorted picture of the camera. These cameras are not designed for use as video cameras, but works, however excellent it, albeit very heavy. Built-in sound recording is excellent and has proven in lots of concerts with crazy good results. Significantly better than the mobile cameras. Will you use it for the concert recording, I recommend however that you set the sound sensitivity manually, which this camera has that opportunity.

In short, a crazy good camera that whips my old D7000 with horse lengths. To obtain a D7200 feels not currently justified, unless you absolutely need D7200 camera lens motor in the chassis, which D5500 lacks.

    Big thumbs up!

The camera takes nice pictures definitely. Despite only positive marketing around continuous autofocus during video that will keep the subject in focus, they have forgotten to mention fierce noise of auto focus as a consequence, that takes all the attention. A little noise is common, but not to such a degree so in D5500. Video about LIVING PICTURES AND SOUND but NIKON has apparently forgotten the latter. STEER AWAY if you want a camera that also takes good video.

Chose between the D5500 and D7200, and chose this due. the swivel touch screen, lighter weight and grip which is amazing for such a small camera.
Pictures are of course incredibly well.
