The Forerunner 265, as the newer 2023 model, brings several significant upgrades over the 2022 Forerunner 255. A primary advantage for the 265 is its modern OLED display, which offers superior clarity compared to the 255's LCD screen, although the 255 compensates with a slightly longer theoretical battery life in running mode. Another key difference is that the 265 incorporates a touchscreen interface, whereas the 255 relies solely on physical buttons for navigation. Furthermore, the 265 offers double the built-in storage capacity at 8GB versus the 4GB found in the 255.
