As DAC and headphone amplifiers there are better options for the price. Sure, that sounds good, and there is power to play sluggish headphones. My son loves this when he plays war games with "scout mode". It actually works really well, according to the son. Then it has fantastic possibilities with settings via the app. But music I have played mostly through "direct mode". But when I used it as an amplifier there are positive things with the sound settings. The equalizer has been useful for optimizing the sound for the desktop, speech from TV and more. The app is a little buggy, works perfectly with the computer, but via the mobile and android it has been strolling occasionally. This thing is best for the PC player I think. As an audio DAC it plays well, but is very complicated via the app. X7 is a fun thing. However, my old DAC / headphone amplifier Furutech GT40 USB still holds the size, and ruled out x7 when it comes to music out.

for a rubbish of dac / amp if you only want a dac / amp you should see other options because for that price you can find much better products (jds / schiit / smsl / topping) the volume wheel is completely pathetic! digital adjustment ?? For 3000 kr it should not be made of plastic. The "headphone stand" is like a penis of a 90 year old man. The built-in microphone is like a $ 1.00 hello kitty from eBay. The Sbx program is completely vomiting. Surround sound is actually like any other headset that simulates surround sound. Crystalizer may be acceptable but ruins the majority of audio formats. bass what should it be ?? you think bass boost? no, in fact, it's the opposite. it takes away the bass since this one is for "gamers" The only positive thing about this one is that it has multiple mixes. so all inputs can be adjusted in the app or creative software. The only reason it is called audiophile product is because you can change Oamps. but who will do it when you are disappointed with what it does and offers.

Exceptional, as mentioned earlier reviewers, some buggy software. Edit: Driver Beyerdynamic DT 880 Edition 600 ohms gallant! 20% volume in Windows is just right for me Edit 2: Doesn't make Creative's ASIO work. :(

Very good sound (if you disable the X-Fi Crystalizer, which I personally think destroys the sound) Would say that the sound is on par with Xonar Essence STX as I had before. A marked difference is that this unit sits outside the computer and microphone lets be better. Noise reduction is incredible. The drive Isar firmware is not tip top yet. Otherwise I would have given it full marks.
