As DAC and headphone amplifiers there are better options for the price. Sure, that sounds good, and there is power to play sluggish headphones. My son loves this when he plays war games with "scout mode". It actually works really well, according to the son. Then it has fantastic possibilities with settings via the app. But music I have played mostly through "direct mode". But when I used it as an amplifier there are positive things with the sound settings. The equalizer has been useful for optimizing the sound for the desktop, speech from TV and more. The app is a little buggy, works perfectly with the computer, but via the mobile and android it has been strolling occasionally. This thing is best for the PC player I think. As an audio DAC it plays well, but is very complicated via the app. X7 is a fun thing. However, my old DAC / headphone amplifier Furutech GT40 USB still holds the size, and ruled out x7 when it comes to music out.
