This review relates to the latest model of Swisschamp that came in 2012. So let's start by looking at what modifications have been made in connection with the latest Swisschamp. The magnifying glass has become larger. And has gone gray to become transparent.
The Philips chisel has become shorter and has been given a new track. That has removed an "intermediate wall" So it is not as wide as before. Finally, they have fixed to the miserable "nail file". Thus the metal (saw) / wood file in the same high level as in my various swisstools. The hook is unfortunately left. But there I put the excellent little pen.The knives are uncomfortable to use. This because the Swisschamp is about 3 centimeters wide.It would have been better to move the knives to the middle of the handle. Then I would have liked to see a wave-toothed small knife.
The fish scarf has a 7 cm long yardstick with well-visible numbers. The small screwdriver (which it can also be attached to in the cork screw during use) has been used for everything from digital cameras, watches, computers, eyeglasses. for some practical use.
The sling is used to drill holes in connection with screw insertions. The inside of the socket is far too smooth. The toothpick is intended for Thore Skogman look a likes. The needle bends too lightly. Why not put your sewing needle instead of victorinox? The scissors easily cut through textiles, plasters, cardboard etc. Easy to sand it is too.The can opener / screwdriver works fine .. even as an orange peeler ... But here I had wanted them to have made the track / tip a little longer. Because sometimes the screws are in "recesses" and are therefore difficult to reach.
The other screwdriver / cap opener works fine..but unfortunately does not lock in. Same thing applies to the saw (about 7 cm). If it is stuck when sawing, then it is a hell to get it out.I see it more like a " distress saw ".This because I am in the garden and out in the woods make use of secateurs and bigger saws. The pliers have a good grip..but I lack a cutter.
Victorinox you can't dare to be a little more innovative, you need to cut down the swiss shampoo a little more. It is still a little too wide-eyed for my taste.
