Have used Appliances Direct once before and received good service, so decided to use them again to buy a range cooker. Cannot fault the price and quality of the product. What leaves a lot to be desired is communication and customer after sales care from Appliances Direct. When ordering the range cooker I selected appliance installation which was to cost a further £199 ( a bit steep but I thought saves me having to find someone qualified to install it). What Appliances Direct did not tell me is that I would have to wait weeks for this, they had the cooker in stock but because they use contractors for their installations could not give me a date. Given that I had already had my old appliance removed this was not an option. Communication is almost impossible I tried calling customer service , multiple times, after waiting for 20+minutes everytime (listening to the world's most irritating hold music), I gave it up as a bad job and resorted to emailing them. Takes them 24hrs+ to reply to any email (even on a week day). I do still think they are great on price but would not use Appliances Direct again purely because their after sales/customer service is very poor. Also like many companies they are relentless in pushing their extended warranty (this was the only time they contacted me), which is fair enough but maybe they should focus more on customer service.
